Become a Member

Building and maintaining a healthy democracy takes work. The League of Women Voters has been providing the tools needed to do that work for over 100 years. Our team of volunteer members help makes sure those tools are available to everyone.

Membership is open to men and women over 16 years of age. As a member you receive a variety of publications along with The Voter, published periodically by the League of Women Voters of Bellingham /Whatcom County.

Membership Levels

Individual	$66

Family (two persons)	$99

Limited income	$51

Additional family members	$33

Student member*	$15

Scholarships are available. Scholarships are granted with the understanding that the member will be actively involved in the organization. Activities might include attendance at meetings, serving on a committee, or volunteering for a specific task.

Please click the "Join" button above and select the "Scholarship" member type, or you can email us at treasurer@lwvbellinghamwhatcom.org. Scholarship requests will be granted within the limits of the League's budget or by a decision by the Board of Directors.

*A student is defined as an individual who is enrolled either full or part-time in an accredited institution.

Your Membership

Your membership supports the work of the League of Women Voters (US) ($32) and the League of Women Voters of Washington ($19) in their critical work to advance voting rights and protect democracy. The remainder of your dues supports your local League, along with all dues paid for family members and students.

Consider a small donation when you join to help us with processing costs. Every dollar donated directly benefits the League of Women Voters of Bellingham-Whatcom County!
